Albion Publishing presents Afterstone by Su Yu-Xin. The catalogue includes an essay entitled 'Ex nihilo, nihil fit', written by Mark Rappolt, Editor-in-Chief of ArtReview, as well as an illustrated catalogue.
Afterstone catalogues an entirely new body of work produced by Su Yu-Xin for her exhibition with Albion Jeune at Lo Studio in Venice, opening in May 2026. The bilingual publication includes English- and Italian-language versions of Rappolt's essay as well as the catalogue.
The hardcover, foldout book adopts a unique form, bound with a decorative band: Afterstone provides a richly detailed list of works, including a series of postcard printed images organised in ricepaper sleeves at the back of the publication. Each of the nineteen works in the exhibition is catalogued alongside detail images of the organic pigments that Yu-Xin uses to create her carefully crafted panels.
